Sherman McCorkle is the Chairman, CEO, and co-founder of Sandia Science & Technology Park Development Corporation and Co-Founder and Partner of OneTen Capital. He is actively involved in numerous community and nonprofit boards, including serving as Chairman of UNM’s Lobo Club. He has held prominent positions such as Lead Independent Director of EMCORE Corporation, President and CEO of Technology Ventures Corporation, President and CEO of Sunwest Credit Services Corporation, and Senior Vice-President of Albuquerque National Bank. He played a key role in the financial services industry, contributing to the American Law Institute’s Select Committee on the Uniform Commercial Code. Sherman is a co-founder of New Mexico Bank and Trust, Plus System Incorporated, and New Mexico Angels. He has facilitated private equity and venture funding exceeding $1.2 billion and advised over 200 start-up companies. Recognized as the Most Influential Individual in New Mexico, Sherman has received numerous awards, including the Life time Achievement Award from the New Mexico Governor’s Distinguished Public Service and the Corporate Citizenship Award from the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. He is a graduate of the Colorado Graduate School of Banking at the University of Colorado.
