NMJC Workforce Development
The NMJC Career and Technology Division offers vocational training with hands-on experience. The Workforce Development Program supports Lea County’s growth with training in CDL, small business, oil and gas, HVACR, healthcare, and green energy.
CTECH
CTech at Hobbs High School serves over 1,200 students with courses in welding, drafting, and construction trades. Lea County is enhancing workforce growth and education by offering hands-on career pathways through the Career and Technical Education Center.
EDCLC & NMOGA
Oil and gas have driven Lea County’s economy for nearly a century, with vast reserves of natural gas and oil. The county is also ideal for wind, solar, and nuclear energy, and local leaders support advancing nuclear infrastructure in the EnergyPlex.
