New Horizons Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Graham to an internship with the foundation. Graham is director of Alumni Relations at Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU), a position he has held since 2012. In fall of 2017, he will begin studying in the Educational Leadership Doctoral Program at New Mexico State University (NMSU), and the NHF internship is in partial fulfillment of his requirements to undertake the program.
Graham has particular interest in NHF’s model of “knowledge-based rural economic development to grow and diversify rural economies through innovation.” His work with NHF will cover a range of activities and experiences relating to implementation of intellectual property and technologies in rural areas to promote economic diversification. NMSU’s cohort model combines distance and in-class instruction, which will allow Robert to continue his staff position at ENMU.
“Robert is very innovative and bright, and NHF is always looking for entrepreneurial individuals like Robert who understand how important innovation is to the economic future of rural America,” said Dale Gannaway, executive director of NHF.
Graham obtained his B.A. in English from Morehouse College in 2007 and his M.A. in English from ENMU in 2012.
